The given dates encompass the period when the Guru has been a mahant (the one who is in charge of a temple). Other lines of sampradaya from other Gurus ascend to Adinatha. The reason is that some followers of this tradition had several teachers. Beginning from Viranatha, there have been several branchings which we define more precisely. We're going to outline them in more detail later. There are lines of sampradaya of nathas tradition connected with the tantric teachers. They go back to Adinatha. For example, one of them goes back to Adinatha through Gopalanatha:
Adinatha → Atrinath → Dattatreya → Janardana → Ekanatha → Nityananda → Krishnananda → Vishibananda → Muhranatha → Ranganatha → Gopalanatha → Balabhadranatha → Dilvarnatha → Sundarnatha → Brahmanatha → Gambhirnatha → Digvijayanatha → Navaminatha → Kamalnatha → Mithleshnatha → Matsyendranatha.
Some branches of sampradayas have something in common with siddhas, vaishnavas, etc.
